When Lights Dance Across the Windy City – Into the Unknown

The rise and fall of the unique rice-paper crafts in Hsinchu, followed by its re-introduction in recent years fascinated us. The ups and downs were tough yet having faith is of utmost importance. We took the characteristics of rice-paper crafts – softness, thinness, transparence, curviness – together with gesture of water splash inspired by Long En Canal, and modeled into an artistic lighting installation which carries a metaphor of the evolution of Hsinchu.
